WASHINGTON - Today President Obama texted "nearly anyone" to avoid talking to Vice-President Joe Biden.
"The President texted me about a particularly obscure tax statistic," recalled Doug Shulman, U.S. Commissioner of Internal Revenue at the I.R.S. "I had to google the damn thing myself to find out what the hell he was talking about, something to do with reconciling collection forecasts over the past fiscal quarter. He said 'TYT, JB', so I knew he was sitting with [Vice-President] Biden somewhere. He wouldn't usually tell me to take my time."
Little is known of the conversation that prompted the President to begin fiddling with his Blackberry in the first place, but White House sources speculate it was probably "another damn senate war story."
FOIA records confirm that in recent months the President has purchased a Football Trivia application, Weatherbug, a Facebook app., and three news aggregators for his Blackberry. The purchase dates of all apps coincide directly with travel dates with Vice-President Biden.
