WASHINGTON - A new poll released today confirms that the majority of Americans are already sick and tired of the 2012 presidential election.
The IRREVERENT/Oxnard Daily Advertiser poll asked 1,232 randomly selected people throughout the nation: "Are you already sick of the 2012 Presidential election?" The following is a tabulation of the responses:
83% Oh yeah, totally sick of it!
9% Election? What election?
5% I'm not an American.
2% I'm voting for whoever guest judges on X Factor.
1% No way, I'm loving this!

"Then again, I wish election day really was tomorrow so I don't have to listen to another dumb debate."
Although statistically insignificant, 19 respondents to the poll vowed to "vote for anyone" just so they'd "shut up."
"You can take this in a positive light," said Bonnie Handler, a pollster and blogger. "People being sick of the election means the message is getting out there. They may not like the message, but the candidates are getting out there, and that's 80% of the battle." Handler took a cigarette break before continuing, "Still, I'd rather jam an ice pick in my ears than listen to another candidate drone on about some dumb-ass economic plan."
